Compare jurisdictions

Crews that cross a border work to two sets of rules. This lines them up side by side — each jurisdiction’s closest matching provision quoted in full, and every numeric value the tool could read out of it shown next to the words it came from.

What this will not do is tell you which jurisdiction is stricter. Differences shown are differences in the quoted wording and in numbers read from it. Where nothing mechanically comparable separates two provisions, the row says so rather than inventing a distinction.

Ask one requirement at a time. The comparison shows each jurisdiction’s closest matching provision in full, plus every numeric value found in it and the exact fragment that value was read from.

  • Indexed — own legislation
  • Not yet indexed

Shading shows what this tool has indexed, not how strict a jurisdiction’s law is. A pale shape means no legislation has been indexed here yet and says nothing whatever about that jurisdiction’s requirements.

Select at least one jurisdiction. Nothing is searched by default, because guessing where you work would be the first step toward answering from the wrong law.
